These Terms are an agreement between you and the developers of Stillfast. Stillfast is built by two independent developers as a personal side project, not a company or LLC; in these Terms “we”, “us”, and “Stillfast” refer to those developers. By using the app you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

Not medical advice

Stillfast is a self-monitoring and preparation tool. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. The drills and all guidance are for general training and preparation only, and are not a substitute for professional medical, psychological, or athletic advice, and are not a prediction of any outcome. Use your own judgement, consult a qualified professional for medical or training decisions, and stop any activity that causes pain or discomfort.

Health and assumption of risk

Reaction training involves physical movement and fast reactions, which carries inherent risks such as muscle or eye strain, slips or falls, and other injury. By using Stillfast you voluntarily accept these risks and use the app at your own risk. If you have any medical condition, are pregnant, or have any doubt about your fitness to take part, consult a doctor before using the app, and do not use it if a medical professional has advised you against this kind of activity. Stop immediately if you feel pain, dizziness, or discomfort. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Stillfast is not liable for any injury, harm, or medical condition arising from your use of the app.

Photosensitive seizure warning

Some drills use flashing lights, rapidly changing colors, and moving visual targets. A very small number of people may experience seizures, blackouts, or other symptoms when exposed to certain light patterns or flashing lights, even with no prior history. If you, or anyone in your family, has an epileptic or seizure condition, consult a doctor before using the app. Stop using it immediately and consult a doctor if you experience dizziness, altered or blurred vision, eye or muscle twitching, loss of awareness, disorientation, any involuntary movement, or convulsions. Use the app in a well-lit room, stay a comfortable distance from the screen, and take regular breaks.

Use it safely

Stillfast demands your attention and quick movement. Do not use it while driving, cycling, operating machinery, or doing anything else that needs your attention, and never where a lapse in attention or a sudden movement could put you or others at risk. Use it in a safe, clear space with secure footing and nothing nearby you could strike.

Honest claims

The reaction and activation drills are for warming up, nervous-system activation, and self-monitoring. They are not claimed to improve sport-specific skill or to transfer to game performance. They do not guarantee performance.

Your account and data

The app stores your information on your device and syncs some of it through your own private iCloud account. You are responsible for keeping your device and Apple Account secure. You can export or delete all of your data from within the app at any time.

License

You get a personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for your own training, subject to these Terms and Apple's standard licensed-application terms. Do not copy, modify, reverse engineer, or resell the app except as permitted by law.

Disclaimers and liability

The app is provided as is, without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Stillfast is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Because the app is free, total liability is limited to the amount you paid, which is zero.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, and any dispute relating to these Terms or the app will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Pennsylvania. If any provision of these Terms is held to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect.

Changes

We may update these Terms as the app evolves; continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
