Squadly FC

Privacy Policy

Effective September 2, 2026

Who we are

Squadly FC ("Squadly", "the app") is published by Michael Berinshteyn, an individual developer in Erie, Pennsylvania, USA. This policy explains what information the app collects, why, where it is stored, who can see it and how to delete it. It applies to the iOS and iPadOS app.

Information we collect

Account: when you sign in with Apple we receive a stable, app-specific user identifier from Apple, plus your name and email address if you choose to share them (you can hide your email with Apple's relay). Content you add: player cards (name, position, ratings, nationality flag, notes, optional gender used only for coed league checks), photos and card artwork you pick, team name, logo and color, lineups, formations, chemistry links, match records (scores, goals, assists, substitutions) and team membership. Preferences: settings such as haptic feedback are stored on your device only. We do not collect location, contacts, health data, device identifiers for tracking, or analytics.

How we use it

Solely to run the app: to identify you inside your team, show your name and cards to teammates, keep everyone's copy of the team in sync, let a team admin manage members, and remember your settings. We do not use your information for advertising, profiling or marketing, and we do not sell it.

Where it is stored

All content is stored on your device. When you join or create a team it is also stored in Apple iCloud (CloudKit) in the app's public database, in a container belonging to that team. Apple processes this data under Apple's privacy policy and terms; we operate no servers of our own and no third-party services, SDKs, analytics or AI providers receive your data. The AI Coach runs entirely on your device using Apple Intelligence's on-device model: your team data is not sent to us, to Apple's servers or to anyone else for it, and the feature is only offered on devices that support Apple Intelligence.

Who can see it

Everyone who joins your team with its invite code can view and edit that team's cards, photos, lineups, formations, matches and chemistry, and can see the names of other members and who the admin is. Treat the invite code like a password and share it only with teammates. Team names are visible only to the app's name-uniqueness check. Nobody outside your team can see your team's content through the app.

Photos

The app uses the system photo picker, so it can access only the individual photos you choose. A chosen photo is cropped in the app and stored with the card, or as the team logo, on your device and in your team's iCloud data. Add photos of other people only with their permission.

Retention and deletion

Your content stays as long as your team exists or until you delete it. You can edit or delete any card, photo, lineup, formation or match in the app; deletions apply to the whole team. Settings › Delete Account removes you from your team (admin passes to the longest-serving member, or if you are the only member the whole team and all its data are deleted), signs you out and clears the app's data from your device. A team admin can delete the entire team at any time in Settings. Deleted data is removed from iCloud immediately; Apple may keep backups for a limited period under its own policies.

Your choices

You can sign out at any time, leave a team, delete your account in the app, and revoke Squadly's access to your Apple ID under Settings › Apple Account › Sign in with Apple on your device. If you hid your email at sign-in, we never receive your real address.

Children

Squadly is intended for adults and league players aged 16 and older and is rated for ages 4+ on the App Store only because it contains no objectionable content. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13; if you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

Data travels between your device and iCloud over encrypted connections and is protected by your Apple ID. No method of storage is perfectly secure; keep your device and Apple ID secure and share invite codes carefully.

Changes

If this policy changes we will update the effective date above and, for material changes, note it in the app. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated policy.
