Moonrow is built so your farm data stays yours. We do not run our own servers, we do not show ads, we do not use third-party analytics, and we never sell your data.
Moonrow collects no data: nothing you do in the app is sent to us or to any third party. This matches the “Data Not Collected” label on the App Store.
Location: while a harvest is being tracked, Moonrow uses your device's location to work out which rows you have covered and to draw your path. Location is used in the background only while a harvest you started is running, and the system shows an indicator when it is. Account: if you sign in with Apple, we receive a private user identifier and, if you choose to share them, your name and email address, which may be a private relay address. Content you create: block layouts, harvest records, tracks, pins, notes, and your preferences.
Your data is stored on your device. If you are signed in to iCloud, it is also synced to your private iCloud database through Apple's CloudKit so it appears on your other devices. The developer cannot read data in your private iCloud database.
Data is used only to provide the app's features: tracking rows, showing your history, personalizing the app, and syncing between your devices. Spoken prompts are generated on your device.
Moonrow shares data only when you choose to, for example when you share a summary image, export a GPX track, or send a handoff file to a crew member. Those files go wherever you send them.
If you send a feature request, your own mail app sends what you wrote, with the app version and device model, to the developer. You see the whole email first, and nothing is sent unless you press Send.
You can deny or change location access at any time in Settings. You can use the app as a guest without signing in. You can stop using Sign in with Apple for Moonrow from your Apple ID settings.
You can delete your account and all blocks, harvest records, and preferences from the You tab by choosing Delete account and data. This removes them from the app and, through sync, from your iCloud database. Deleting the app also removes the data stored on that device.
Moonrow is a work tool for agricultural operators and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your sign-in identifier is kept in the device keychain. Data synced through iCloud is protected by Apple's security measures. No method of storage is perfectly secure, so please keep your device protected with a passcode.
We may update this policy as the app changes. The effective date above shows when it last changed.
