Privacy Policy
The short version
We run no servers and track no one. Your information stays on your devices and in your own iCloud, and Apple handles your membership payments.
Who we are
Modern IPTV is made by Michael Berinshteyn and Bryson Mazur, two individuals in Erie, Pennsylvania, USA. This policy covers the app on iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, Mac and Apple Vision Pro.
Sign in with Apple
Apple gives the app a stable identifier, plus your name and email only if you choose to share them. They stay on your devices and in your private iCloud, and we never receive them.
Your TV service login
Your provider's server address, username and password are kept in your device's Keychain. They sync to your other Apple devices through encrypted fields in your private iCloud database, which we can't access.
Your library
Favorites, watch progress and the teams you follow sync the same way. Downloads and game reminders stay on the device where you made them.
Services the app contacts
Your device connects directly to your TV service (your login and what you watch), TMDB (trending titles and artwork, with your language and region), Wikipedia and Wikidata (cast photos and biographies), ESPN (game schedules, scores and team logos), GitHub Pages (when you open a shared link) and Apple (iCloud, Sign in with Apple and Siri). Each one sees your IP address and your request under its own privacy policy, and we never send them your name or email.
Membership
Apple processes your membership purchase, and we never see your payment details. The app keeps a record of your membership and your Sign in with Apple email in your private iCloud, so your other devices know you're a member. If an admin adds you to the free list, the app's iCloud database stores only a one-way scrambled form of your email or member ID, plus a partial hint such as “br•••@icloud.com”. An Apple TV you link with your iPhone keeps the date your membership runs until.
Ask about a title
Answers come from Apple Intelligence running on your device. Your questions and the answers never reach us.
No tracking, ads or analytics
The app has no analytics, advertising, tracking or crash-reporting tools. We don't sell or share personal information, and we don't use it for targeted ads or profiling.
How long it's kept
Your information stays until you delete it or your account. The services above keep their own logs under their own policies.
Deleting everything
Settings has a Delete Account button that erases your iCloud records, downloads, TV service login and every local file. You can also stop using Sign in with Apple for this app in your device's Settings, under your Apple Account.
Children
Modern IPTV is for people 16 and older and isn't directed to children under 13. If you believe a child's information is in the app, email us and we'll help delete it.
Security
Your login is protected by the Keychain and iCloud's encryption, though no system is perfect. If a breach ever affects your personal information, we'll notify you and the authorities as Pennsylvania law and other applicable laws require.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or get a copy of your information, and to opt out of its sale, targeted advertising or profiling. We do none of those things, and you can email us to use any right without being treated differently.
Changes
When this policy changes we'll update the effective date above, and we'll tell you in the app about important changes.
