Terms of Service
Effective October 8, 2026
Agreement
These terms are an agreement between you and Michael Berinshteyn and Elijah Wellington ("we" or "us"), not Apple. By signing in to or using Stubly you agree to them. They add to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which also applies to the app.
Your license
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Stubly on Apple devices you own or control, as the App Store Usage Rules allow. You may not copy, modify, resell or reverse engineer the app.
Your account
You can use Stubly without an account. If you sign in, your account is your Sign in with Apple identity. Keep your device and Apple Account secure, because activity from your account is treated as yours. You can delete your account at any time in Settings.
Your content
You own the receipts, photos and conversations you add. You give us and Apple only the rights needed to store and sync them for you. Only add receipts and photos you are entitled to keep.
Shared projects
When you share a project, the people you invite can see everything in it and act within the permissions you give them. Admins can invite and remove people and change permissions, a project can have up to four admins, and if the last admin leaves the member who joined earliest becomes an admin. If a project is deleted, everyone loses access to it. Only share what you're entitled to share, and only invite people you trust. Usernames are first come, first served, must not impersonate anyone or be offensive, and are released when their account is deleted. Don't use invitations to spam or harass anyone: the app limits how many you can send, and anyone can block or report you. We may remove a username that breaks these terms.
Automatic reading, the assistant and reports
Amounts, dates, categories, warranty lengths, insights, assistant answers and reports are produced automatically, including by Apple's on-device AI, and can be incomplete or wrong. Check them against your original receipts and against the manufacturer's and seller's terms before relying on them. Stubly and its assistant are personal organizing tools and do not give financial, tax, accounting, investment or legal advice. The assistant cannot make purchases, payments or any decision on your behalf.
Warranties, returns and reminders
Warranty and return information may be estimated or incomplete, and reminders depend on your device, its settings and the dates stored in the app. We are not responsible for a missed warranty claim, return or deadline.
Exports
You are responsible for the files you export and for who you share them with.
Acceptable use
Do not misuse the app, interfere with it or its iCloud data, use it for anything unlawful, or try to make the assistant produce harmful content.
Other services
Some features rely on services from Apple, such as iCloud, Siri and Apple Intelligence, and on Google for web searches. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms.
Store names and logos
Store and brand names, colors and logos shown in Stubly belong to their owners. They appear only to show where a purchase was made and do not mean any store endorses or works with Stubly. Logo artwork comes from the open-source Simple Icons project (simpleicons.org, CC0) and from Wikipedia and Wikimedia Commons; the Gap, Menards, Sprouts and Applebee's logos are used under CC BY-SA and GitHub's under CC BY 4.0, with their authors credited on each file's Wikimedia page. Stores without a logo are shown by their initials on their brand color. If you own a logo shown in Stubly and want it removed, write to us at berinshteyn@gmail.com and we will take it out. A picture you choose for a store is kept with your receipts in your own iCloud and used only in your app.
Availability and changes
The app and its sync depend on Apple services and network availability, which may be interrupted. We may update, add or remove features. We may update these terms, and the date above will change when we do.
Disclaimer
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the app is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for lost data, missed deadlines or financial decisions, or for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the app. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
Apple
Apple is not responsible for the app, its content, its maintenance or support, or any claims relating to it, including product liability, legal compliance and intellectual property claims, which are ours to handle to the extent these terms say. If the app fails to meet any warranty that applies, you may notify Apple for a refund of the purchase price, if any, and Apple has no other warranty obligation. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
Legal compliance
You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as supporting terrorism, and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
Ending these terms
You can stop using Stubly and delete your account at any time. We may suspend access if you break these terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, USA, except where the law of your country requires otherwise. If any part is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
